“Top Smartphones of 2024: Realme GT 6T vs Poco F6 – Which One Exclusive Right for You?”

Today, I have two new devices that have just launched in India. One is the Poco F6, and the other is the Realme GT 6T. These are brand new devices, and there’s a lot of confusion among people who want to buy a new phone. If you’re also confused between these two phones, I’ll give you all the details today to help you decide which one is right for you. Just give a like and subscribe to the channel for more reviews like this.

Realme GT 6T and Poco F6 Network and Battery

First off, neither phone has a memory card slot. For the Realme GT 6T, you’ll need to download the Google Dialer to replace the default one. Both phones support 4G Plus and have multiple 5G bands. The haptic feedback is great on both devices, but if you need a larger battery, the Realme GT 60 has a 5500 mAh battery, similar to what OnePlus offers. The box includes a 120W charger that charges the phone quickly, and you can even monitor battery health.

The Poco F6 has a 5000 mAh battery with a 120W charger in the box and supports 19W charging. Both phones should last a day with around 5.5 hours of screen-on time, though this can vary depending on usage.

Software

Regarding software, you’ll need to put in some effort as both phones come with some pre-installed apps, which you can delete. However, the Realme GT 6T has fewer third-party apps. Both phones run on the latest Android 14, with three years of Android version updates and four years of security updates, so they will be supported until 2028.

Both phones support NFC, but neither has FM radio. However, they do have IR remotes. The software experience can vary from person to person, and Poco offers HyperOS, which might differ from Realme’s interface.

Performance

Performance-wise, both phones feature strong processors. The Poco F6 has the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, which is excellent. The Realme GT 6T, on the other hand, has the upgraded Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3. Benchmark scores show little difference, and both phones perform well in high settings, including gaming. There’s no major heating issue in either phone, and both use UFS 4.0 for fast read and write speeds.

For gaming enthusiasts, especially for games like BGMI, both phones perform well without any frame drops. The Realme GT 6T has an IP65 rating, making it slightly more water-resistant than the Poco F6 IP64 rating, though neither should be submerged in water.

Design

In terms of build quality and design, the Realme GT 6T features a curved display with a glossy finish, available in green and silver. It weighs 191 grams and has a bright LTPO AMOLED display with HDR support. The Poco F6 also offers a solid build but with a different design approach. Both phones look premium and feel great to hold.

Regarding the build, Realme GT 60 features a curved display with a glossy finish on the back, available in green and previously in silver. It weighs 191 grams, and the front display is an LTPO 120Hz AMOLED, which is bright and impressive with HDR support. Dolby Vision is supported by the Poco F6 as well. Both phones have Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection, meaning they won’t easily break if dropped. However, it’s still advisable to get a tempered glass screen protector.

The Poco F6 weighs 179 grams and comes in various colors, including black, which I have. The matte finish ensures that fingerprints won’t show up easily. Both phones allow you to watch YouTube videos up to 2160p with SDR, though Netflix currently lacks SDR support. This might be updated for the Realme in the future. Dolby Vision and standard HDR are supported on Netflix.

For display preferences, if you want a curved display with a curved back, go for the Realme GT 60. If you prefer a flat display, choose the Poco F6. Both phones feature in-display fingerprint sensors, which unlock the phone quickly and efficiently.

Camera

Moving to the camera, both phones have a 50MP main sensor and an 8MP secondary sensor on the rear. They do not include a 2MP sensor. The Realme GT 60 offers a 32MP selfie camera, while the Poco F6 has a 20MP selfie camera. Both take decent selfies and support 4K video recording with OIS for stability.

The photo quality is good with dynamic range and details, though there might be a slight difference in color tone. Poco F6 photos might appear a bit warmer, while Realme GT 60 photos tend toward a cooler tone. However, this can vary. Both phones allow 2x zoom photos, and Realme also offers a 2x option in portrait mode. The Poco F6 includes an ultra-wide option for video.

There is no significant difference in the camera quality, as it largely depends on personal preference. Neither phone has a headphone jack, but the Poco F6 includes Dolby Atmos support for better audio through the speakers.

Conclusion

Overall, both phones are balanced and perform well. If you need a larger battery and slightly better water resistance, go for the Realme GT 6T. If you prefer a slightly better processor for gaming, the Poco F6 might be the better choice.
