Top 1 Samsung Smartphone Picks: Essential Read Before You Buy! 📱💥🔥

Okay, Today I’m going to tell you about one of the best smartphones, but make sure to read this blog before buying it. Many people have been asking about this phone, so I thought I’d clear up the confusion.

Hello friends, how are you all doing? So imagine a smartphone that features a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor, a 120Hz AMOLED display, an excellent camera—in fact, at the price it’s offered, it’s considered to have one of the best cameras. It also comes with wireless charging, reverse wireless charging, IP68 rating, Gorilla Glass Victus Plus, and long-term software updates. When all these features are packed into a smartphone, it definitely qualifies as a great device. And if you can get it for only 40,000 INR, considering the specifications, what more could you ask for? In fact, with card offers, it could be 3,000 INR cheaper.

Smartphone

As of now, what other smartphones can you think of under 40,000 INR? There’s the OnePlus 11, iQOO Neo 7 Pro, and occasionally the Nothing Phone 2 goes on sale. All three of these phones feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, but none of them offer the best camera. Not all of them have wireless charging—though the Nothing Phone 2 does. They also lack an IP rating. While they all have various software features, they don’t match up to what I’ve mentioned initially. So, you might be wondering which phone

Samsung Galaxy S22

I’m talking about. It’s the Galaxy S22. This Samsung flagship phone was launched in February 2022, and now in December 2023, it’s available for under 40,000 INR with all the major specifications I mentioned. With so much in a phone at this price, it’s a deal you can’t pass up.

However, there are a few things you should know about the Galaxy S22 before buying it. First, remember that it’s a compact, handy phone. There are very few compact phones available in the market today. It comes with a 6.1-inch display, ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, almost bezel-less design, and a premium build with a metal frame and glass back.

Design

The design and features are impressive in Galaxy S22 . But, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor in this phone tends to heat up quickly. When it was first released, it had thermal control issues, which have been somewhat addressed over time, but the compact size of the phone doesn’t help. Smaller phones, regardless of the brand, tend to heat up more.

Performance

In terms of performance, the Galaxy S22 does a good job overall, but the compact size and the thermal issues of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 mean it can get quite hot, especially during the summer or in outdoor use. When it gets too hot, the phone has to throttle its performance, which can affect tasks like video calling or recording. The display brightness may decrease, and the phone might drop frames after prolonged use.

Battery

Another issue is the battery. Galaxy S22 Being a compact phone, it has a 3700 mAh battery, which is relatively small. Combined with the thermal issues, this results in a lower screen-on-time (SOT) and overall battery life. For someone who spends a lot of time indoors, like me in the studio, frequent charging isn’t a problem, but for those who are outdoors often, it could be an issue.

So, if you’re considering buying this phone, think about your usage patterns and whether these potential drawbacks might affect you.

I was only getting a battery backup of 2-3 hours, and let me tell you about my usage. During my training, I used two main applications and two or three other apps like WhatsApp, Telegram, mainly for chatting. Throughout the day, these were the main apps I used. I also watched a bit of YouTube, but no gaming at all. However, I do a lot of chatting on WhatsApp and Signal, so the screen is constantly on. Every time I opened an app, the phone would heat up. Let me tell you about the heating issue, where it was a problem, and where it wasn’t.

Outdoors, it heated up a lot, and indoors, when running two applications constantly or during a video call for about 10-15 minutes, the phone would get quite hot. Mainly, it was noticeable when holding the phone for long periods, especially in the summer, making it hard to hold.

This happened very rarely though. Normally, during calls, if you were outside in the sun for a long time, the phone would start to feel hot even during calls. The heat felt similar both indoors and outdoors. Indoors was a bit more manageable, especially in an AC room or even without it. But outdoors, it got much hotter.

Remember my advice: this phone, no doubt, offers a lot for under 40,000. You won’t find this in any other phone at this price. But with its battery and outdoor usage, you will feel the difference. Now, look at the S22, after that, this is the next compact phone.
